Prototype Data - CB&Q 47500-47799 series boxcar - class XM4
This kit is for the CB&Q 50ft exterior post double plug door boxcar in series CBQ 47500-47799 (CB&Q Class XM4). These cars were built by CB&Q have Havelock, NE shops in 1963 . Cars were equipped with Standard Railway Supply (R-3/4 Improved Dreadnaught ends and overhanging diagonal panel roofs). Cars were delivered in CB&Q Chinese Red. A few of these cars were repainted into BN green and CB&Q lettering and later BN green. Cars where used in general merchandise and food products service. After the BN merger, CB&Q 47500-47799 were renumbered to BN 233200-233999. All CB&Q painted cars were retired by 1992. The last BN painted cars were retired by 2001.
