general questions

Do you sell your products through hobby shops and distributors?
At the present time we do not have the manufacturing capacity for high volume production. This limits our ability to make enough product to sell at a discount to hobby shops or distributors. We also want to be able to provide our products to our customers at the lowest price possible. Selling direct allows us to keep prices low.

Freight Car Questions

Are you going to produce your freight car kits in N scale?
At the present time we have no plan to do so.

What is the time frame you'll be releasing the other freight car kits?
We'd like to get to the point to where we are releasing a car a month. That might be optimistic but that's our goal. The best way to stay in the know is to keep an eye on the website or our Yahoo Group.

What if I have a car assembly tip I'd like to share with you?
You can always e-mail us or join our Yahoo Group and share it with everyone!

Are your freight car kits limited edition?
No, we intend to keep them available.

Laser-Cut Deck & Roofwalk Questions

Why do you sell your decks and roofwalks in 4 packs?
Value for our customers. Packaging our decks in 4 packs allow us to sell them to you at half what other companies charge for their decks. An overwhelming number of our customers have expressed their satisfaction with the 4 packs concept because it allows them to equip their fleet of cars affordably.

Do Modeler's Choice decks have a "peel and stick" backing?
No. With peel and stick you have one change to adhere the deck. If you don't align it right peeling the deck off will ruin the deck or the freight car. We recommend using a tacky type of glue like Walthers Goo or contact cement for our decks. See the article on weathering and adhering our decks.
